How Lindsay Jacobsen Built a Career Designed to Support Real Life

Before: An Industry That’s Hard to Carry Alone
It is a hard industry and a lot of people don’t make it.
There was no built-in lead generation system. No formal team training. No broader network to rely on.
“If you didn’t really have that team support, the team training, the network, the lead generation. It was hard to keep yourself motivated.”
The Turning Point: Choosing a Smarter Way to Grow
We needed to expand our business. Our options were either invest money into our own websites and marketing and things like that, or we join a team that has that already established.
After multiple conversations and sit-downs with Justin Havre, the timing aligned.
“It kind of all worked out that we needed to join the Justin Havre Real Estate Team and go that route.”
After: Collaboration, Coverage, and Real Support
It’s not so much competition, it’s this collaboration and everybody is just so excited for you.
The common perception of real estate as a cutthroat industry did not match her experience.
“When you think of real estate agents, you really think of that cutthroat industry. That is absolutely not the case on this team.”
More importantly, the business no longer depended on her being everywhere at once.
“If you’re a solo agent, to take that much time off could be devastating for your career. But you just don’t have to worry about that on this team.”

Life-Changing Growth
I had taken off three and a half weeks to go to Vietnam and I didn’t have to worry about anything. My business was covered here.
Later, while overdue with her baby, she went into labor while showing properties. She simply reached out to the team.
“No problem at all. The team jumped in. My showings for the next day were covered, completely handled.”
Those moments were possible because the structure was already in place.
“If I wasn’t on the team, that wouldn’t have happened at all.”
Beyond Production: Growth That Supports Real Life
She brought her daughter with her to appointments for more than a year.
“I actually brought Kaida with me for the first 14 months of her life to every single appointment.”
Her clients understood because the relationships were long-standing and personal.
“They’ve been my clients from before I had her, till when I was pregnant with her, and seeing her after she was born.”
Real estate offered flexibility. The team made that flexibility sustainable.
“Without real estate and the success that I’ve found in real estate, I wouldn’t be able to offer those opportunities to her.”
A Framework to Thrive, Not Just Survive
Lindsay is clear about what made the difference.
“This team really sets you up to make it in this industry — not just survive in this industry, but really thrive in it.”
My number of transactions has obviously jumped tenfold since joining the team.
Equally important was the personal support.
“The support and Justin’s support through a lot of those has been invaluable.”
